Read our case studies to hear the experiences of seven schools who have taught GCSE (9-1) Mathematics with us since 2015. From first teaching in September 2018 all GCSE subjects in England will be graded 9 – 1.

Guided learning hours include direct teaching and any other supervised or directed study time. The GCSE subjects graded 9 – 1 introduced for first teaching from September 2015 were English language, English literature and mathematics. Sign up for access to our unique Mathematics Emporium. Cambridge IGCSE syllabuses are designed on the assumption that students have approximately 130 guided learning hours per subject over the duration of the course (normally two years). They do not include private study by the candidate. For funding purposes, one AS or one A2 is equivalent to 150 guided learning hours.
